What is proprioception? Proprioception is the brain’s ability to sense where the body is in space and whether it is aware of movement. Proprioception is commonly affected in neurologic conditions and also when pain and inflammation is present. Specific proprioceptive exercises can help improve the ability to walk or move with better coordination, balance, and motor control.  Dr. Weiss will test for proprioceptive deficits and use targeted exercises to improve this dysfunction.
